RAMON AND TRISHA HULL ARREDONDO

EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS 

We believe that education is essential for those wishing to reach their goals and potential in life.  In order to assist in this quest, we established the RAMON AND TRISHA HULL ARREDONDO EDUCATIONAL FUND as our way of “paying it forward” for all the blessings we have received.

ALL authors’ profits are given to this cause, either in the form of scholarships and/or a donation of copies of MARIA’S JOURNEY for reading assignments for Hispanic/Latino studies, Immigration and a variety of courses such as English, Diversity, Social Sciences, Women’s Studies, and Influence of Family Values.

It fulfills the requirement of 9th grade Core Curriculum and is used in classes preparing immigrants for U.S Citizenship and by Genealogy Groups researching and writing family histories.  We have been privileged to present to Universities, colleges and high schools across the country, as well as civic, religious groups and book clubs. 

PROCEDURE FOR SCHOLARSHIP AWARD:

I.   MARIA’S JOURNEY selected as class assigned reading.

II.  Books ordered and shipped to destination.

III. Ramon and Trisha speak to class/group on topic selected.

IV. Scholarship awarded by authors to individual(s) selected by institution representative.

RECIPIENT REQUIREMENTS:

I.  Documented Financial Need.

II. GPA minimum “C”.

III. Demonstrated history of hard work and perseverance in pursuing education.

We ask that a picture of the class and recipient is taken for use on our website, and that the recipient understands our wish that they will “pass it forward” as they progress in their lives by positive involvement bettering their respective communities.
